Question for Kingston

Having received a few tentative enquiries I am considering a visit to Kingston either end of October or mid November. My question is, should I just make this a stop-over visit on my way to or from Ottawa, or should I plan a separate weekend visit to Kingston? Any help or ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to Kingston check out the fantasy suites at the fireside inn on princess st. The most elaborate rooms you will see in this area.(best Western)

PS: To the gentleman who chided me for saying Kingston and not K'Town, sorry but K'Town for me is the capital of Jamaica and although I'm sure there's just as much warmth in Kingston, Ontario - it's not quite the same is it?
