Got a legal question. Got a speeding ticket way back in 2019. Requested a trial. Had a few trial dates-but they got cancelled due to covid. Now over 2 years later they set me a letter offering me a plea deal. I know in pre-covid times the "Jordan Decision" gave them a limit of 18 months to prosecute. Even with courts being closed for 9 months-I am still over the "Jordan Decision" of 18 months and no date has been set yet for a trial. So do I take the plea which is 2 points(my insurance is clean right now) or has my right to a trial without delay been violated and therefore charges will be stayed?

Not a traffic court lawyer, but I think you're golden. That's an 11(b) infraction and the charge should be stayed for unconstitutional delay.

Nice work. For a civilian - LOLOL!!! 😸
