Most are free.
I merely use Google and Opera browser which has a built in torrent client that works well.
Just add 'torrent' to whatever you are searching for in Google and a plethora of choices come up.

Are you talking about where to find torrents, or which torrent tracker to use?

If it's the latter, use uTorrent. It's one of the best.

Yes I have uTorrent but when I load It's a trap (the final installment in the Family Guy take off on Star Wars) the sites torrent? I get to want me to start loading in information to purchase a membership.

I don't DL many torrents but noticed that trend of more and more free torrents sites now becoming pay sites. Guess that is the nature of the beast in that things that were free in the past now cost you to use....

Seems kind of ironic that they're getting paid, if they're just trackers. The P2P network still does all the heavy lifting. Kinda like paying the pimp for the BJ when he doesn't do the work.

I sometimes use piratebay or btmon, sometimes i just start out with google, then see where it leads me

I usually use Google now. Haven't used Demonoid or BTJunkie in ages.

I use emule and get all my DLs from sharethefiles.com. It is great, especially for their current/ running tv series section.

I've been using a file sharing prog. called Ares. Another poster here on Terb suggested that I try it. I've been able to find vids and MP3's (with many more DL sources) that I couldn't find anywhere else. Just to give you an idea, I tried to search for a Pink Floyd song on Limewire, when it was still working and I got approx. 60 - 70 DL sources. On Ares for the same search I got more than 270 DL sources.

Sounds like you have spyware/malware. uTorrent is a FREE bittorrent app for windows. I've been using it successfully for at least the last 5 years, prior to which i used azure (now being called Vuze)

My suggestions for torrent clients (in order of personal preference):
- uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/)
- vuze (http://www.vuze.com/)

I used to use eMule and then switched to uTorrent. Make the change, uTorrent is WAY better both in terms of usability and efficiency.
