Someone should have responded ,The Japanese, the Germans and the Afghans showed Russia how to lose with good grace. So it's not like losing in the Ukraine is setting any kind of precedent.
They could come up with something original.https://odysee.com/@airbornewolf:8/...sia.-Russians-sing-Katyusha-to-Paratroopers:d
This is some high quality Russian propaganda. Its brilliantly staged. As high quality as a Coca Cola ad.
Its all been done before, but good quailty and pulls at patriotic heartstrings. They could come up with something original.
I was talking to a friend of mine who was in the CF years ago doing helicopter maintenance.
and yet they are still doing this..... Drone footage shows widespread destruction in Mariupol, Ukraine - YouTubeI was talking to a friend of mine who was in the CF years ago doing helicopter maintenance.
When he left he subcontracted to the UN in Somalia working on helicopters there.
There were some Russian military mechanics there as well and he has had a freindship with one of them ever since.
Through social media his friend told him they were refurbishing tanks to get them mobile enough to drive in the upcoming parade.
They aparently have to make a single tank driveable using parts from at least three other tanks.
My friend told me this was common in Somalia, scavenging damaged units for parts to keep the MI16 and MI 8 supplied by the newly formed Russian air force/Army.
They are putting a quick coat of paint on the outside and installing a turret on the hull for looks.
No electronics or firing systems are in the tanks they are refurbishing.
Same with some of the helicopters they will be using as well, flyable, but unfit for combat.
2 of those cases are from Tsarist times, the Afghans was them losing what they considered to be external territory. Also I don't think back in the 80's they pushed so hard on the idea of how they must win in Afghanistan or else zombies. The Japanese, the Germans and the Afghans showed Russia how to lose with good grace. So it's not like losing in the Ukraine is setting any kind of precedent.
So how many doomsday warnings is that now?Putin to send 'doomsday' warning to West at Russia's WW2 victory parade (msn.com)
Considering this is for one parade with one would guess a limited amount of vehicles, this is double plus bad. I'd assume they would pick the best of the stored tanks and if they have to go that far to get them running, I'd hate to see how far they would have to go to get a few thousand tanks working out of storage.Through social media his friend told him they were refurbishing tanks to get them mobile enough to drive in the upcoming parade.

I had asked my friend to find out how far they go when they put them in storage, do they just park them or do they remove all the sensitive equipment and shrink wrap air entry areas like the US does.Considering this is for one parade with one would guess a limited amount of vehicles, this is double plus bad. I'm still back on the one where they were going to create a nuclear tsunami and submerge Britain under the North Sea.2 of those cases are from Tsarist times, the Afghans was them losing what they considered to be external territory. Also I don't think back in the 80's they pushed so hard on the idea of how they must win in Afghanistan or else zombies.
Also wouldn't consider what happened in WWI to be losing gracefully considering there were 2 regime changes in quick order one of which involved a substantial civil war, also in 1905 after that loss there were plenty of uprisings. Also both loses were only accepted after Russia did everything they could to win.
So how many doomsday warnings is that now?
Don't you think that makes sense? Why would you put your prime gear out for parade? There is no firing demonstration.I was talking to a friend of mine who was in the CF years ago doing helicopter maintenance.

So you will spout off any sort of nonsense right. Why would you put your prime gear out for parade?
So following that logic why aren't they putting out their prime gear for battle? Or prime troops for that matter. What are they saving them for? Sunday best?Don't you think that makes sense? Why would you put your prime gear out for parade? There is no firing demonstration.
They are now just grinding the Ukrainian military with artillay in the donbas. Not really taking much risks. Just letting the big guns do their job with the cannon fodder Zelensky has sent. You quoted an article that says Russia's invasion isn't going anywhere, that the best they can do is shell the bits of Ukraine they've controlled for a while. They are now just grinding the Ukrainian military with artillay in the donbas. The soldiers could do little but huddle in their bunkers and endure as the ground along their trench line lurched to the tune of Russian artillery. Bystanders in a battle they had yet to join, their fate lay in the hands of an enemy working distant war machines far beyond the range of their rifles.
It was Tuesday morning. The bombardment of the area around Pisky village began soon after 6am and was in full flow for five hours. A Russian jet made two bombing runs early in the attack. Russian tanks moved to a tree line 750 metres across the open fields of no man’s land and opened fire, sending blasts of white-hot metal into the Ukrainian trenches. Mortars thumped along the line,
Why Putin dare not lose the battle for Donbas

Because it's where they show off their shiny new stuff to the 3rd World countries that they export military hardware to.Don't you think that makes sense? Why would you put your prime gear out for parade? There is no firing demonstration.
There will be some shiny new stuff among the old. They even include WWII T-34s in the parade. But the T-14 will be there, all the Armata based IFVs and SPG. Pantsir, S400, S50O, Kaliber, and SU-35 and SU-57. There will also be a some latest moded T-72 as the installed base is massive.Because it's where they show off their shiny new stuff to the 3rd World countries that they export military hardware to.
They also try to scare the west with new, shiny bling-stuff at parades. It's a Russian tradition back to the 1930's.
