It was all fun and games until the mob - which was supposed to have been kept safely at bay and to have just acted as a colourful backdrop - actually got into the Capitol and killed people. That changed the vibe.

He simply overplayed his hand. His mentor has said supporting him in his bid for the senate was the worst mistake of his life. Book deal gone. Corporate sponsors fleeing. In a normal world his career would be over. In trumpworld he may become a rising star.
