The BC government put out some COVID-19 guidelines for sexworkers and clients.

Here are some links:

COVID-19 and Sex

Here are some of the guidelines for clients:
  • Visit one SP more frequently instead of many
  • Opt for positions that minimize face to face contact, like doggystyle
  • Avoid kissing.
Just don't be an asshole

Do not offer more money, or make repeated requests to coerce a
sex worker into providing risky services. If a sex worker says “no
french kissing” then that’s final (as should always be the case!)

If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or have travelled outside
of the country, do not meet with sex workers.

If experiencing no symptoms, and meeting with sex workers, respect
and adhere to their boundaries as usual, which in this case may include
additional precautions around cleanliness and physical contact.

More Tips

Be open about your concerns and boundaries.
Take responsibility for the safety of the situation and practice good
respiratory hygiene throughout the meeting.
If you cough or sneeze, do so away from your service provider’s
body, and cover your mouth or nose with your elbow or a
tissue.

Practice good hygiene.
Take the initiative in washing your hands and face thoroughly
upon meeting with your service provider. If facilities allow, take
a shower.

Tip generously.
Sex workers are experiencing major declines in business and
you may be their only customer for the forseeable future.

Don't be racist.
Be aware of your racism and stop discriminating against Asian
workers. Media outlets around the world have reported stories of
hostility and discrimination towards members of Asian communities.
Instead, book Asian workers, be respectful, and tip
generously!

On a positive note

Know that sex workers are already experts in keeping sanitary work
spaces and practicising safe contact, and have been keeping
themselves safe for decades during flu seasons. Their livelihood
depends on this.

Hahah
Omg you have never partaken in this industry have you?

Many of the SPs are dirty enough (a quick browse of this very board will show you thousands of complaints about providers, ranging from poor personal hygiene to disgusting work spaces) and majority of them will easily go the extra mile for a fav client without even asking for $$$ (and even the "better" class pros will do many VERY risky things, I dont care what agency or spa you found the girl at)

Yes I’ve partaken. The section you quoted was taken from the guidelines, I didn’t write it.

You may be right that it’s far from the reality for many SP’s. But I think it is one positive thing from the guidelines that was worth including.

Interesting. No mention of the legality of clients visiting sex workers.
One of the docs mentions that they understand that some SP's have to keep working and some people will continue to visit them, so they wanted to just put out some safety information.

"This document follows a harm reduction approach, offering
guidelines from various sources to help lower the risk of contact and
transmission to those who must continue in-person sex working."

The OP refers to BC guidelines. What about other provinces?
Yea, I live in Ontario but these are the only guidelines I've come across. BC seems to have a more enlightened approach than other provinces.
