I'm happy with the $83. Though I would have preferred more.

If you had boxed a long shot or two, such as the Bills or Titans, and either one of those teams won, chances are you would have won big.

If you play the safe bet, then chances are you will not win very much.

You're absolutely right ref!

You have to hope for a dog to come in big on a box play or have the balls not to box it and still win.

If and when that happens, you'll be part of a very small group that wins big!

It will happen again before the football season is all said and done and hope the guys who got screwed on their plays from here are part of that!

Get some balls and pick some non-favourites otherwise your just another robot who copies the line - did you expect to get a big payout for showing the brainpower of a small child. A six-year old girl could have made the same picks.

Only difference is the six year girl probably has more courage then you,

Are you ready for this?

There were 5297 WINNERS in the football pool this week!

WTF!!!!

No shit it's going to pay $83.30

What a fucking joke!
Funny thing is the night before on the hockey pools card there was only 1 winner: $40,000 that guy gets to himself. Probably due to both Ottawa and Toronto losing, since most Ontario bettors will take at least one of them.

I didnt jus pick favs. I boxed the KC, Philly, Bal and Saints games in hopes they'll be an upset. All the rest I jus picked which team I thought would win.

I'm not going to fall into the lure of picking a once in a lifetime upset like Tenn over Indy. To me thats jus stupid and throwing away money. If thats what pools has come to in order to win some decent money then I'll just stick to pointspread.

For your information I didnt bet all favs like "some robot" I picked the team I thought would win stright-up. I didnt even know the speads at the time. I boxed 4 games I thought could go either way, Bal, Dallas, KC and Saints
I have won $1000's over the years and am up a good amount on proline overall.

In that case, stick to point spread. I used to play pools, but have stopped. I'm not investing anymore than $5 on a ticket, and with boxing now, there are way too many winners per week. Where the payouts used to be thousands of times more than the investment, we are now looking a 300%, or much less, of a return. Not bad but to gamble $80 of the outcomes of 12 to 14 games and having to get 8 to 10 right (you've boxed a few), you might as well call a bookey and do a two game parlay.

Last week all the favourites win. This week 6 out of the 8 early games are won by the underdogs; Tennessee and Tampa being the big ones. Somebody who had enough guts to take those teams is going to end up with a nice payday.

Yeah, you're right. To play a $5. pools ticket and take a lonnng shot e.g Tenn over Indy is a great payday if it comes in but how rare would that be. To box that game on a box4=$80. ticket would not only take balls but a good supply of $$$$ since there would be at least 4-5 other games that might go either way and to waste a box on Tenn would be kinda a waste.

The botton line is you never know how a team will play. Today I missed a $700. ticket by one game, Redskins didn't cover. Last week was first time I had the balls to do a box4. I'll do at least 2 more before the season is complete.

Speaking of the Skins' game, they cost me $8k on a 9 team 7-point teaser. All I need was for them to lose by no more than 2 points (a push is a lost)...but fuck me, they lost by 3. This weeks payout would be nice, in fact, I bet you that 12/13 would cash. I highly doubt someone would waste a box on Tenn. given this is a MUST win game for Washington. But wtf, they screwed everyone over, especially me!
