You know, over the years you come lots of songs or albums that have been ripped but there is no song title. So on your ipod you see: 01 02 03 etc.instead of the song title.

Is there a program that renames these, I guess by searching the net or something like that?

Thanks

If you use itunes, try TuneUp, it works fairly well. Alternatively, Media Monkey is good as well.

or, if you have an iphone, download shazzam.. play the tune and press the button.. It'll give you the name and artist and album and you can tag it yourself..\]

An option for a couple of dozen tunes... not do-able for thousands..

Don't have an iphone , thanks mediamonkey seems to do the job for albums. It didn't find single songs yet. Like in a folder with mixed stuff, I will have it search a song like the "house of the rising sun" but it can't find the title. Maybe itunes

Winamp in the past used to ID unknown songs. Winamp is a nice free player.
