Yesterday, I heard a message from a pro-life group advising separate school ratepayers to support like-minded public school trustees in today's election.

If I had picked up the phone, I would've objected to such a call. Despite my personal feelings on the subject, we live in a secular society, where a woman's right to choose is enshrined in the law of the land.

Also, municipal politics has nothing to do with this issue.

I just think it's nuts. I also fear that we are seeing a trend to evangelical-inspired politics.

We're certainly seeing a spread of folks ashamed to speak their own messages directly. Why listen beyond the two or three words that reveal its a robo-call?

Unless you're waiting to discover the opposing business, party or cause to support.
