You can't have it both ways. They decided to leave and trash the Queen or royals, deal with it now. Go ask Oprah for help 😂😂 I remember when they moved to Canada the Groper was using federal money to pay for their security, the shit hit the fan.

While the children are expected to become Prince and Princess, they will not be granted the title of His/Her Royal Highness by King Charles.

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex are said to be “furious” that their children will not get HRH titles.

The royal couple – who tied the knot back in 2018 and have Archie, three, and Lillibet, 15 months, together – have reportedly “insisted” on their children being granted royal titles in the days since Queen Elizabeth died and while the pair are expected to become Prince and Princess, they will not be granted the title of His/Her Royal Highness by King Charles.

A source said: “Harry and Meghan were worried about the security issue and being prince and princess brings them the right to have certain levels of royal security. There have been a lot of talks over the past week. They have been insistent that Archie and Lilibet are prince and princess. They have been relentless since the Queen died. But they have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH.”

The Duke of Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties back in January 2020 and relocated to Los Angeles with their children and the source went on to explain that because they are no longer classed as “working royals”, Archie and Lillibet will not be able to use the same title as the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children.

The insider told The Sun newspaper: “That is the agreement — they can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals.”
The news comes just days after the death of Queen Elizabeth – who passed away at the age of 96 at her balmoral estate last Thursday following a 70-year-reign – and her son King Charles wished the couple his “love” as he announced new titles in his first speech.

He said: “Our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring the marginal to the centre ground where vital help can be given. I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”

There is also a petition gaining steam in Sussex to remove their titles as Duke and duchess of Sussex. They are using their titles for personal financial gain and they should be taken away.

Don't they ALL use their titles for personal financial gain in one way or the other?

The issue w Harry & Meghan is that the "legitimate" ways that the royals get paid (grift) millions a year have been removed from them and so they have to whore more blatantly for their money.

They can call Archie the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"

I'm sure thousands if not millions will sign that petition. I think along the way they took shots at Charles and he can't be impressed with them either, but maybe the Queen asked him to go easy.

Whether you like the monarchy or not the seniors are devoted to service. The Queen was an amazing example of devotion to country and service. Likewise with Phillip and Charles. I think Charles will make a good king and that William will in time. Harry and Megan want fame a notoriety and money and are not prepared to do the work. They would rather be Kardashians than working royals.

Not my take on it. Harry and Meghan appeared to want to be "charity celebrities" who loaned their names to various feelgood organizations. Is it cashing in?.... Yup. But it struck me as being a decent and smart approach to being a 21st Century royal.

I'm not sure how much "hard work" the other royals do for their $$$. They just lend their presence to more traditional royalty shtick like appearing at ceremonies to give Tory party bagmen noble titles (like our own Conrad Black, for instance). They serve no real purpose in 21st Century terms. Just a different type of celebrity playing to a different audience.

I did not know that "Duke" was an elected position.

Maybe they should simply let The Daily Mail and the other tabloids hand out / take away all the titles and simply cut out having King Charles as the middleman for that shit?

Here's your problem - The royals have ALWAYS been assholes, but the late queen was old enough and conservative enough to put a decent face on it as an institution. A more mediocre set than Charles, Anne and Andy are hard to imagine. The developed world has gone full-on meritocracy in the last 50 years, the inevitable result of having universities hand out job qualifications rather than getting those same jobs through your Uncle Robert (the previous system). And the more we're accustomed to having smart, competent, well-behaved people in leadership roles, the harder it is to accept that someone is your social superior just because they were born to a particular set of parents.

You've got to live in a society which accepts a class system based on birth to buy into the whole monarchy / aristocracy horseshit. And that society died out around the time ordinary folks could get a state-subsidized higher education and become important people by hard work and intelligence. (Somewhere in the 1960 - 1980 time continuum).

Currently, the royal family fits into the sentimental fascist view of "traditional Britain" peddled by the tabloids. Eventually, even this will fade out as the older folks die out and the younger ones are less inclined to a traditional view of British values. And when that happens, there might be a hard-eyed reassessment of whether the royals still fit into the scheme of things.

They bolted, they and their sprog should have no title. What part of hereditary do they not understand.

Strange women in ponds always make the right choice, but they can't really control how the kids work out I guess.

To be fair, if they were growing up faced with the idea they would have actual power and responsibily instead of being mere figureheads, they might have turned out differently

Sibling rivalry for the throne has always been challenging. Attila the Hun had a private dinner with his brother Bleda the Hun to work out who would be king of the nomads. And when Bleda suddenly strangled himself to death in that private fraternal discussion, it was all resolved amicably. Far less messy that the current system.
