After being with Bell for over 25 years I left them and got a $250 termination fee. I ignored it and it went on my credit report but, and there is always a butt, creditors often ignore this type of non pay because of all the problems that exist in that industry.
Now I'm assuming you're not under contract.
I had a similar problem, not with Primus, but also with Bell
We switched from Rogers to Bell last year briefly, after honey was poured into our ears about better service and savings and reliability...
Well within 2 weeks we had so many service interruptions and problems we had no choice but to switch back, despite several service calls from their technicians and contractors.
Eventually we got bills from Bell totalling over $1000 for termination, contracts, installation etc etc. All of which were not mentioned before
I got my secretary on it. She's Eastern European and takes no shit from nooooooobody.
After about two months of back and forth, she reduced my bill to the two weeks of service and the rest was written off. During that two months, Bell actually charged me penalties and interest for non-payment, regardless of the bill being under review!!
These companies try to get away with EVERYTHING, just hoping a few people will pay. Some people are too lazy, some don't care enough, but unfortunately many will be taken advantage of b/c they don't understand English or don't know how to stand up for themselves.
It's despicable.
