It's a clever gimmick that is nothing but an excuse. We have that also in Judaism, where some say that homosexuality is not forbidden, only the homosexual ACT itself is forbidden. Technically correct, but in the context of the whole written cannon , it is obviously an erroneous position. As for trans. How can they say anything about trans ? The Judeo Christian teachings only recognize two sexes.
