I got a prepaid reloadable visa card from the bank. It's advertised that you can "buy anything online" with it.

However, the name printed on the card is "valued customer".

I haven't used it yet, becasue when I buy stuff online, they always want to know my name and my billing address.

There must be a Lounger who's got one of these cards, and has used it to buy things online. What's your experience?

Usually 2 options
1- some prepay cards you can register info online
2- some prepay cards do not care what you write (I had a prepay cell phone under the name Homer Simpson @ 742 Evergreen Terrace no issues whatsoever getting approved)

You should be able to register your card online during the activation process. You would assign a first and last name and at the very least an area code at this point. There are plenty of online stores that have a prepaid option for transactions. Even PayPal lets you add prepaid cards specifically to your “wallet”. And you likely won’t be limited to online only purchases. I’ve used multiple non-reloadable gift cards at stores at the mall for single purchases when I wanted to use up all the funds on each and nobody batted an eye. The fact that your card most likely has the bank name on it as well will give you added legitimacy.
