So if a poster deletes his post ( or MODS removes the post ) - does the number post ( link ) readjust for all post?
Yes.

I frequently delete some of my posts in the Trivia threads after I accidentally reply twice to the same answer post. The post # sequence adjusts.

In some cases, the # that you see for a specific post might not be the same for some or all others reading the thread. The difference would be because of posts made by someone on your or someone else' Ignore list.

If your reply includes a quote of a post which is subsequently edited after the fact, (or deleted), the text within the quote, as it appears in your post, will not change; it will appear as it appeared at the time that you replied with quote.

I'm not sure if a post made by someone on your Ignore list will be displayed for you, if it has been quoted by someone else, then included in a reply to you. It worked that way on another board which was often colloquially referred to here as "The Stupid Place ", as opposed to as a board of a specific colour. My second handle there was banned because I put every member who trolled me on Ignore, permanently. That spoiled the fun for the popcorn eaters who wanted to see me fight.

Nothing prevents you from altering the text of a quote within your reply. It's done frequently, mostly when one wants to comment on a specific part of a longer post.

You can also completely change the text of a quote within your reply, (this will not alter the text of the actual post you quoted). Once when a guy trolled me, I quoted him, and changed the text of his message to something like 'I am a passive-aggressive loser with a small penis who is so full of self-loathing that the only joy I feel in life is to irritate the people I secretly admire.'.

Yada, yada ...I'm not sure if a post made by someone on your Ignore list will be displayed for you, if it has been quoted by someone else, then included in a reply to you....yada yada
Additional:

When someone on your Ignore list is quoted by someone else, their message is not displayed:

I'm guessing that the display would be identical if a reply to me personally included a quote from someone I'm ignoring.

I would think this would be an option choice by mods/ Admin, and other boards might chose something else.

On a 'drama' board, mods would likely display quoted text from someone you're Ignoring, when it's part of a reply to you personally. A person might do that specifically so that you would see something in particular posted by the Ignored.

There's also probably a mod option that might require someone to remove a handle from the Ignore list before the Ignored's messages can be displayed. This board DOES NOT use that option; displaying text from an Ignored is an option here on a post-by-post basis.

More:

If someone on your Ignore list posts on the same page as you, there will be a link below the reply button, allowing you to 'Show ignored content'.

If this option is currently enabled, refreshing, or leaving the page will re-disable it. That includes leaving and returning to the page with the forward/ back tools in your browser.

If you have two separate TERB windows open, the show/hide options can be different for each page.
