I've driven at high speed many times in my life. 200 km/hr plus, however I have always done it in Germany on the autoban. The highways in Europe are designed for speed plus the drivers over there always drive on the right. They use the left lane for passing only. Canadian highways are not builded for speed.

Hardly. I saw someone smoke a deer on the 401 going just 120km/h. I wonder what would have been left of his car (and the deer) if he was going 240km/h.

What about debris on the road? I almost got taken out at night by a large piece of wood that had obviously fallen off a flatbed or something. Barely managed to avoid it doing 120. I sure as hell would have hit it or lost control if I was doing 240.

The issue for me is that I never know what to do around these assholes... Move, stay where I am, speed up,etc... (Slowing down is most like not a good thing). My life suddenly is suddenly placed in the hands of an idiot, hoping he makes the right move, or does not lose control.

I think if you're caught doing over 200km/hr on any Canadian highway you should have your drivers license permanently suspended

This is what 357 km/h looks like on the Autobahn. I might have wanted to wait until the fog lifted.

I love the lane discipline, moving to the slow lane at 300 kpm.
