A friend recently told me about his visit to a Toronto porn-themed restaurant called ‘Get Laid’. He describes this restaurant as being adorned with pornographic images and television sets playing porn as people eat. Personally, I couldn’t imagine eating in such an atmosphere! (Yuch!)

Has anyone on the board been to this place? I’d be interested in getting other people’s impressions.

The place is called just 'Laide' and the porn being played are silent films circa 1920's projected onto a white wall over some booths. It's on Adelaide at Church(?) I believe. It's a funky little club with basically the old porn movies as a back drop.

Much as I treasure my porn, when I think of it in a restaurant setting as decor, even…"S'cuse me, is that a tongue in your cheek or are you just happy to see me?", I can't help thinking the French meaning of the name is exactly the description I'd choose.

I have eaten at a club in Barrie. The girl I was seeing there highly recomended the food and would share off my plate. Great for Breakfast if you are a daytimer like me! I would get to know the club very well though before eating at any of them. But if you think about it, most girls do 7 or 8 hour shifts at these places. what do you think they do for lunch?
