The poll result so far doesn't really surprise me, except that 3 out of 74 actually chose "anorexic". Oh I get it, they want the girls to give them BBBJ and then swallow as a way of fattening them up, because it's a good source of energy and protein.

I think I am most turned on by girls who are like Lushious Lexi ... hell, I got a hard on just by watching her dance ... LOL 
But that's from a "horny" and "sexual" perspective ...
From an "eye candy" point of view, I would have to say I like the Annalee type ... those body types look really appealing in dresses and skirts ... I mean damn she has fine legs ... LOL
As for examples from celebs. I like Naomi Watts to Penelope Cruz to Louis Redknapp(sp? - the race car driver) to Lil' Kim ...
I guess it really depends what perspective you look at the women. Some look good and sexy but may not be a "good fuck" ... Others may not LOOK sexy but are actually a "good fuck" ...

They did studies a number of years back. I'm not sure who paid for them or how they justified them but they found that body type made less difference than proportion. The closer ratio of hips (circumference) to waist to .7 the more beautiful the woman's body was judged to be by men in general. For example Twiggy was a .7 even though she was a rake she was considered by the opposite sex to have a body that was pleasing to look at.
For men the ratio was .9 Wonder how many men on this board have that ratio.

For example, a woman with the (supposedly classic) dimensions of 36-24-36 has a waist to hips ratio of 24/36 = 2/3 = 0.67.
I think the study you are talking about was done based on the measurements of "Miss America" winners over the last 50 years. Even though the overall look of these women has changed over time, the basic ratio of waist to hips and waist to bust has always been around the same.

Although Miranda has a hot body, what I like about her more is her character, personality and attitude and have never only looked at her as "just a body", hence she was not included in my list ...

I prefer slender girls, but as others have mentioned, I will stray outside of my "ideal" body type if the total package is appealing. One thng I will add, however, is that I think there is a big difference between sp thin and sp average and general populace thin and general populace average. Have you been to a mall lately? I think an sp who was truly average would be considered heavy by many of us.
