Thanks for that. Any similar cases of concealing identities?So I found a website that conglamorates a lot of metro toronto police disciplinary decisions and appeals. It was not hard at all. After reading a few cases, I agree on day without pay is too low. I would think firing is too high. Without knowing the history of any of the officers (let's assume no prior problem or commendations) I would peg it as an offence that should have warrented 6 months to a year of demotion by one grade of rank.
By the way, showing your female police compatriot your scrotum ring on duty, when she asks you to, will get you docked 16 hours of pay...there is some great reading in here.
Of course the real issue is not how these unworthy cops should be punished but how to get that 'us against everyone: public, police command, whoever', mindset that led to this off the force.
One cannot help recalling the horror of folks here about women in niqabs. Given this was almost a hundred guys wearing masks and carrying guns who concealed who they were, it is no trivial matter.
