Is it true that Toronto LE has a file on each one of us and every interaction with them is recorded in your file?

For example, you call LE to complain about kids playing soccer on your front lawn. LE takes a report over the phone (because it is unlikely they will send a car over). LE makes a "dislike kids" notation in your file.

A year later you apply for a grade 6 teaching job at the David Miller Elementary School in Scarborough. The school asks the police for a reference report on you. The school sees the "dislikes kids" notation and rejects your application.

they install keystroke loggers on your pc so they can read everything you type too, banking info, passwords, websites, porn, all that nasty stuff you don't want anyone to know. all being logged.

you mean you're not using an anonymizer??

I don't think they have the time or give two shits if you don't or do like kids...

Actually yes that's true. Everytime you call the police it gets recorded and stays with you for life. But it's only an internal file and does not go out to people checking refrences. Only your criminal record would be released to those, but not any of the calls or interactions you've had with the police.

If you wrap your fingers in foil before making the call they do not know who is calling.

Yes its patially true...

I just picked up a criminal check for myself to hand in to an amateur sports associatiion.

Of course the check was clear, but on the back it had 2 listings involving burglaries!!! One had the code "c" next to it for "complainant" and one had another code...i think it was "v" or something....that was supposed to mean "victim".

I'm still trying to remember when i called in those reports and if the dates match up! Oh well.

On the other hand, my noise complaints from 6 years back didn't show up.

I would think that calling about noise and kids in the neighbourhood would not show up...but somthing like a burglary or other more serious crime...your name will show up even if you just made the phone call and show up in the officer's report!

I just typed this with my fingers covered with foil paper and my tag name did not show up on this thread.

There Must Be A "LE MEMBER" Here To Confirm This...lol
I was witness to a crime and had to testify at a major case. The police had every single incident/phone call I ever made since I moved to Toronto, on their list. That's how they check your credibility and what ever other info they want. Shocking but true.

Nope its true, everytime you call the cops they store the info from their call in a database.

How do I know this you ask??????

When I applied for my F.A.C I had cops come to my house (routine for every persons application) and they asked me questions about a domestic dispute where my ex-girlfriend called cops.

No charges were ever filed, all the cops did was show up, and yet they still had it on file.

You are right, and cops can't use this info in court, its not admissable

Darn it! So it is true! Should never have complained about those stupid soccer playing kids. Could have had a fantastic teacher's job at the David Miller Elementary School. Work only 5 hours a day, job security, good pay, great pension, Summer's off, no heavy lifting, etc.

La la land
I think they do

I called once to complain about kids, well 17-18 years old, drinking beer on the street. It didn't bother me but it go noisy, loud and no bottles or can hitting the ground hard. But it was getting late midnight.

Called in after giving all info they wanted my phone number address and so on but didn't ask for name.
Cops show up 5 mins later and the crowd dispersed.

I think they do keep track.

Now only if they would be so kind or diligent to do that with stolen bicycles.

There are called police occurrence reports. They are generated everytime the police get involved whether or not charges are laid.
