Dangerous might not be accurate; I'd say the potential to be in dangerous situations. There is also a reason why it seems most police forces mandate counselling for cops involved in shootings. I've known a couple cops and a couple people who became cops and the job does take a toll on people's health and personal life. There are also reports that they tend to have a short life expectancy after retirement.

That doesn't change the fact that like in any large group of people, some cops are assholes. The significant difference between an asshole cop and other assholes is the cop's high level of authority means they should be held to a higher standard.
Since it's such a walk in the park I think you should apply.

Officer Basketcase has a real ring to it..........

The “coward” cop who fled while his partner was shot three times was a “basket case” so wracked with guilt that he was sent to see a shrink the very next day, police sources said yesterday.

Turn to 2:45 of this video for the in context to this discussion...very powerful words and message.

Thank you all the amazing cops for all you do. It makes a difference and will always appreciate it and be grateful for your sacrifice to us.

Love the quality of your contributions to this board.

And sorry to burst your bubble but although the job has the potential of putting your life on the line, it is fairly uncommon for an officer to pull their gun and even less common for them to have to use it. Police are far from the most dangerous jobs.

Then apply!.......Make your contribution to society.

A woke dude like yourself would surely be in high demand for such a position.

Or better yet you could be one of the social workers that goes to the aid of people during an emotional crisis.

You know one Basketcase to another.........
