Should I wait for the car companies to give rebates so that they are more competitive with US prices?

Well, for one: their trucks are the fugliest POS's on the planet and they charge WAY too much for them. When I was shopping I found the import trucks to be about 20% higher than their N/A counterparts. You will also find you will get a better equipped vehicle for a lot less money. If you're going to keep the truck forever, it might mean something that it might last 10 yrs or more. But if you're leasing for 3 yrs? Who gives a rat's ass that it will last 10 yrs, I only want the best 3.CUTTERBUCK said:Why would anyone in there right mind buy a vehicle made by GM or Ford? Those 2 manufacturers are now paying for years of producing shit. The consumer has finally figured out that the Asian manufacturers, particularly Honda, Toyota, have got it right.
For just bombing around in the city, I'd say yes. But there are drawbacks to hybrid: you have 2 complete engine systems (gas and electric) and you have the extra weight and volume of the batteries which limits cargo space etc. You also have the extra upfront costs (although I haven't researched it to determine exactly what those costs are).Eli said:Go hybrid. For so many reasons.

It`s very easy and the people at customs are very helpful and friendly.
