WTF?

I call about this new girl Anna to see what time she is available today. I ask about her incalls and where abouts she is located so I can figure out travel times.

I'm told that I have to call back from an unblocked number because this is too much information...

Are you kidding me? How the hell is knowing which hotel an SP is in a security risk.

And do you honestly think in this industry, I'm going to call from my own number?

Get real PK... LE aren't going to start calling room to room for Christ's sake!

I have noticed that its just not PK, but most SP's won't deal with blocked, restricted or private numbers.

I can see part of the point on thier side but when they dont answer and call back hours later and say I saw your number on my phone and oooops its your wife who answers your cell because you are outside and forgot to turn it off
in case the Escort you tried earlier decides she is going to work now and tries calling all the missed calls on her phone

See why we block our numbers till we are ready to book

And I've had that happen too... escorts who will call even though you didn't leave a message.

The killer part is, the damn ad said "Casino Lac Lemay" in it. For crying out loud, there's only two hotels around the casino that have jacuzzi suites. So its not like they weren't already publicizing a location.

Actually, it isn't LE that we are really concerned about. Its the fact that we have had ladies robbed or attacked from ppl in the past and they have always seemed like (really nice guys) and always from blocked numbers. So it has been our policy that we have not been taking blocked numbers. Also blocked numbers tend also not to be reliable for showing up. So for these reasons alone we have been having ppl call back with their numbers unblocked. If this doesnt suit the client, then too bad go somewhere else that will take the security risks. I am sure the vast majority of you understand

Guys, get a 7-11 TalkEasy phone. For $113 total (ie. including taxes), you get a completely anonymous cell phone plus 500 minutes of talk time that is good for one year, no additional fees or hidden catches. Pay cash and the phone is never associated with your name.

It's actually speakout and you may be able to get the phone for free depending on what the current promotions are. You can also carry your minutes into the next year IF you ADD more minutes before the year is up. Been using it for over a year and it's perfect for the hobby. Here is the link:

Ya I got the phone for free but I "had" to buy a $100 card to get it. Good deal and totally anonymous.

Most providers won't answer a blocked call. I don't so why would they, it's a risk you must take if you chose to play the game, or get one of them 7-11 phones!

Hummm... suspicious mind...

Well the point is even if you have a cell phone who shows your number, you still can be a crack head to... You just proved it with the comment about phone without your name associate to it.

So the point over here is not about security but for the John who take appointment and dont show, so they have a phone number they can call and harcel them back or put them on a black list.

What happen to me last week was a bit particular, phone for SP, the guy answer and ask me to phone from a no-block id phone. Told him that my phone is block by my companie (so when i call people they can harcel me back...) and there is nothing i can do with that. He said ok then, no problem. Took appointment for the next day. Phone back the day after to settle the last arrangement, i never could get the line after. I even phone from work and from a telephone booth. Probably a matter of circonstance.

See ya...

I think u guys need to accept the fact that not everyone is as nice and good natured as all of you, this is for OUR SAFETY.... and like previously stated already OVER AND OVER in this thread, PK is NOT the only one who screens calls this way. In fact, you should be lucky you got an answer at all, cuz myself personally, i'd have left it ringing if i saw "private". Yes, some SPs may call u back even if u didn't leave a message...this isn't very discreet.....perhaps you should use the board to find out which SPs are better known for being slightly more understanding to the needs of a client's privacy.

*Rolling my eyes at those who think SPs screening calls is ridiculous*

u won't think that way when ur favorite SP ends up dead in a ditch cuz she accepted a private call from a serial killer.

ps - porto - even if ur company blocks the number, check with your carrier about which " * " code to use to UNBLOCK it....i know telus just dial *82 before the number....

I was a little disturbed to hear recently that there is a private bulletin board for providers where customer phone numbers are swapped. If this is true, it would be a gold mine for any reporters, blackmailers, LE etc. that could gain access. Makes that 7/11 phone look more attractive although I don't know how you'd explain it to the SO.

A couple of weeks ago there was a posting (quickly removed) with a link to a rant on another site from a woman who called herself the "hobbiest's wife". She claimed to have discovered that her husband was hobbying and that she had infiltrated the world of SPs in Toronto. I have no idea whether it's true or not. She definitely had an agenda. You can probably find her rant by googling.

Yes that is very (not just a little) disturbing if true  . Even though I only take outcalls (to my understanding is legal) and I am not married (no reason to blackmail me), however there are many hobbiest who are not in the same boat. I thought in this business discretion by SPs is a priority. Now posting clients' phone numbers is hardly a discretion which is assurred by all SPs (if it is really the case).

Where did you hear about this Bluenose (from a reliable source???).

Should the Lady mentionned by Bluenose, is a HACKER it is strongly possible that she was able to access the database. This database is not protected at an high degree of security, like the one of Government and Company. Even though, who has not read about the breach of security at Winners store. Hackers were able to retrieve the Credit card number of thousand of customers. These are the one that make it to the newspapers, for each one that goes public, there's many who don't, cause it would affect the confidence of the public, therefore it's buried. I truly believe that she was able to do it.

There wasn't any hacking involved. She apparently just pretended to be an SP and she was given access to the bulletin board. Anyone with basic social skills could probably do the same thing.

You have to be careful these days and age folks. I have some backgrounds in Information Technology Security and you would not believe how easy it is for identity theft to occur via the most basic form of social engineering. If it is true that the SPs are swapping clients' phone number, it is a definite cause for concerns.

I have my cell phone but I do not use it for this hobby. Everything is done by email (and I have a generic free account for that), if the SPs don't like that then that's too bad, we just have to move on, no hard feelings...

I think the list you probably talking about is bad client list. Those numbers are swapped for good reason. Anyone who is good to SP and doesnt rob rape rip off or do things to put girl in bad situation have nothing to wory about. Your name wont be in there.

Seeing an MPA or SP is an economic privilege not a life necessity. Follow an individuals rules or move on to someone else if you don't like them.
