If the banks had a durress code, which would be a good idea, they sure as hell wouldn't let the bank machine give anyone money. Banks never want to give people money. Period.
As it is, if you get the PIN # wrong three times, the machine eats the card. Additionally, if you fail to enter the correct PIN it won't give you the card back. Finally, I think if you press the correction or cancel button a bunch of times, it eats your card.
Canada Trust used to have a VISA card that looked almost the same as my ATM card, and I swapped the cards a few times. As far as I could figure out, there was no way to get my VISA card back, as I didn't know its PIN.
