Peyton Manning - where does he stand amongst the greatest?

With news of Peyton retiring and making it official later today. The debate will come of where he stands in terms of being if he is the greatest QB to play the game.

Peyton changed and revolutionize the game. I think no one studied the game harder then he did and I am glad he is retiring on top as a champion.

Let the debate begin ...

Top 3 to ever play the position....hands down

Knock on him was always couldnt win the big one...well he has 2 rings now ...could he have had more...sure....for his overall ...body of work?..yes he is Top 3 all time...IMO

With the records he holds, he is the greatest at this moment and I would put him in as one of the all time greats. It's unfortunate that we look at him and define him by his losses, that, for the most part, were failings of the teams he was on, not by his actions on the field.

This ring I could have won, he was the worst quarterback to win a championship, that defense was amazing.

He is a top 5 quarterback of all time

Brady is #1 and Montana is #2

Brady can still catch his numbers and still have a chance to win more championships.

Hard to say, I still rate Joe Montana as the best QB ever.

He may not have been as athletically gifted as some other QB's but he remains the smarted pivot to ever play the game. He's having troubled getting around these days, too many war wounds. That hit he took from Jim Burt in the 1986 playoffs nearly killed him.

Manning is a big game choker as well tho

He is the greatest regular season quarterback of all time

He always had great weapons around him in Indy and Denver.

Montana had hall of famers around him on offense and defense

Brady had one season with Randy moss in his prime and now he has gronk, other than that look what he did with average to below average players.

Brady is GOAT.

It's nice of the Colts to erect a statue for Peyton but I fear it will attract unwanted attention.
