That's strange since most Mulsim nations tend to drink Pepsi, because the Coke plant in that part of the world is in Tel-Aviv.

Coke was banned in Arab countries and numerous sympathisizers for decades as owned by a Jewish family. Pepsi and RC, 7up and orange crush were everywhere.
Idiotic Americans would drive into Israel from all over the middle east for the sole purpose of getting their allowed amount, 1 case, of coca cola, and way back also for their beloved KFC. With the geography, heat, borders and miscellaneous checkpoints, it could be a tremendously long, difficult and frustrating journey.
Now, with generational change seeing where more money is, coke is available in most Arab countries, and KFC is everywhere.
