Something very strange happened to me this year I became addicted to peanut butter
I cant go without it on my toast every morning

but its got me wondering will this cause me to have a heart attack ? My best friend is telling me not to eat it everyday she just says its fattening but is it really bad for the health?

Do you have Prime Video?

May I suggest watching “That Sugar Film”. It will all make sense.

Just their roll through Kentucky was worth the price of admission.

Should not be that big of a concern, in moderation… since your daily workouts are also burning those extra calories..Unless u have a too sedentary lifestyle😀

I once went to a dietitian who did an audit of my eating habits and she told me to put peanut butter on my toast every morning as it's a source of protein.

That is what I thought. And with options now for low fat and stuff, you can get somewhat healthy with your PB.

I put a heaping tablespoon of Adam's peanut butter in my smoothie every morning. Peanut butter is great, having it on your toast every morning is absolutely fine. Just get a good brand (like Adam's) with no added sugar.

peanut butter and whole wheat bread makes a complete protein. It’s my go to breakfast as well. As long as you have it in moderation you’re fine

The down side of peanut butter is that it is high in omega 6 fatty acids.

Which in us humans can lead to an inflammatory response in the body.

But we all don't react then same so it's a case by case scenario.

As for protein well it lacks the amino acids methionine and cysteine . Methionine is an essential amino acid so that would negate the protein benefit.

Not sure what peanut butter you are eating but PB has very little sugar. It’s a recommended food by dieticians for diabetics
True if you buy organic/natural peanut butter, or if you make your own.

But commercial peanut butter (the one I buy) is not that great. Lots of fat/sugar thus calories. I still consume it few times per week with my morning latte ;)
