I'm hoping to upgrade from my Timex-Sinclair 1000 very soon.

Anyone have a good, used Commodore Vic-20 around?

Ive always been a PC user but I have heard people say like in this thread that MAC is more stable very rare system crashes. I have windows XP and I find its a very relaible OS. Some would argue that windows 98 second edition is better. I had the original '98 edition before XP.

I may try a Mac but for now sticking with PC!

Mac vs pc: For me the difference is not at all technical. Mac computers seem to illicit an emotional response from the user/owner. Simply put-a Mac owner loves his/her computer. This is why there is a perception of a Mac Cult. Pcs get the job done, Macs get the job done artfully.

I also think this is why we have less virus problem. Microsoft is perceived as "the big global corporation" and is thus a target for every bored, disgruntled hacker out there. People seem to love to think up new ways to screw the system and Microsoft is seen as being "the system".

if you want a good price on an iBook

go to best buy, buy the 12inch, return it and watch the open tag price, lol.

it drops 300-400 retail, just for being an open box.
friend did that, what a deal ;)
