Hi guys,
Since I got into this hobby I had quite few payment options presented for me and was wondering what your experience on the matter. I had people ask for PayPal, gift card or Bitcoin these people are definite scam (found out hard way with gift card) then there were a few who asked me to buy apple gift card and give it to them when we meet (now I can't remember if they already gave the address or not but I'm quite sure there was at least one that did) now I'm not sure these people are scam or not because although they ask for gift card they wanted it in person.

There were also those who asked for deposit but it depend it on the rate I would choose, for 200/h it would be 50 and they say the remaining 150 I would pay in person. Then of course there were those who wanted the full payment via etransfer.

Bottom line, is cash the only payment method acceptable and those who ask anything else should be regarded as scammers or is there an exception?

  1. Cash is King.
  2. Never give out gift card serial numbers. In person is less sketchy, I just ask myself "why" a gift card and move on.
  3. Crypto, PayPal, etc. ... I do not use.
  4. Deposits/gift cards sent to reputable providers only. This will expose your real name.
  5. Cash is King.
edit: Pamela has pointed out that some SPs will accept a gift card to secure an appointment. Again though, reputable providers only.

Cash up front is all I use and all I ever have used. Virtually every sp is happy with cash and a small tip doesn't hurt either.

Cash is king absolutely however, I will accept a small electronic deposit or gift card (if client wishes anonymity) for first time clients. I do this to wade through the long list of tire kickers, pic collectors, and time wasters. I am well reviewed and I provide good service. I don’t have time to sift through the hundreds of texts I receive on a daily basis. I prioritize my established repeat clients and those who are serious about making an appointment, in that order. If my terms are too rigid for an individual then I am more than likely not a good fit for that individual.

WishTender has been a game changer for a secure method for deposit/payment. Not only is it anonymous for the sender, you can also use various payment options (credit card/debit/etc).
It also provides some protection for the provider incase the sender tries to do a charge back!
All your info is kept anonymous and so is the provider’s information.
It does take 3-5 business days for the payment to be processed, BUT, it’s guaranteed by WishTender. And it’s a great alternative for clients/providers outside Canada as it’s available for the US/UK/Europe and many other countries.
it does take a small fee for conversion rates, so I suggest providers add an additional 10-20$ to cover potential fees if they don’t want to eat the cost.

Also, unlike PayPal/Square or other payment processors it was designed specifically to be sex work friendly. I still suggest you read the TOS and label your “payment” discreetly.

I couldn’t agree more! With the amount of time wasters and pic collectors there are out there lately, as well as people booking and no showing for appointments, I think taking deposits for appointments (via transfer, PayPal or gift card) is becoming more and more of a thing amongst providers who have been in the industry for a while and are just tired of having our time wasted. I personally only request a deposit if you’re someone I don’t have an established connection with, because typically repeat clients always show up for appointments, and when they can’t, they give notice for cancellation. Or if you’ve no showed a couple of times, then I will ask for a deposit
You’re right, it does help weed out the people who aren’t serious about booking.
Gentlemen I understand your hesitation when providers ask for a deposit, but before immediately just brushing it off as a scam, research the girl a little bit, see if she has verified pages, if she’s on a spa/agency website, typically a quick google search of a girls name and city will give you any info you need to find out if she’s trying to scam you or not :)
I get sometimes you’re just thinking in the moment, but I personally think if more of you took a little more time and effort to find the RIGHT provider for your needs and wants, you’d all have much better experiences. I too often see a lot of you complain about getting scammed, or having a terrible session experience: and at least 90% of your situations could be avoided by taking an extra 5-10 minutes to do some research on different girls instead of messaging 5-10 different girls and just going to see the one who gives you the best and quickest response

Damn, you literally just summed up my experiences so far just in a few sentences. Thanks for the input, although I'll still refuse anyone asking gift cards and such but if it's like a small deposit and remaining cash I could give them a chance.

Just because gift cards not only raise red flag but can be quite problematic. When I had a girl ask for gift card (that I shouldn't have given since she was a total scam or not so safe because of her pimp) she messaged me saying she couldn't redeem it and that was a whole other experience (it was a Google Play gift card).

I totally understand that! I moreso only offer gift cards as a form of deposit for anyone who’s worried about anonymity. I won’t ever share anyone’s names from e-transfers with anyone, but I know some men still prefer not to use anything with their banking

I agree. The worst experiences I've had are the ones when I just gave in to an impulse, or a sexy pic on LL.

Wish tender is definitely super convenient! And I agree with what was said above - if you're worried about being scammed, just do a quick search. Most reputable providers will have online presence whether its their website, reviews or Twitter. I started taking deposits from new gents who want to see me the same day and it helped tremendously with weeding out time wasters.

What shows up on your credit card statement when you use wishtender?
Curious, as i have a regular and i would time to time like to get them a gift off their whish list!
Thank you
