He's unbiased to him because he likes what he says. Tucker lied his way to his on air career, literally.
I don't think Tucker Carlson even knows who "Canada" is. He's got the IQ of a chimpanzee, but as long as he says what Murdoch wants him to say, he'll pull a multi million $$$$ salary.
Don was clearly invited on because this crap is grist to Fox's mill. They spew right wing nonsense 24/7. If Don wanted to retain anyone's respect, he could go give an interview to a Canadian journalist on a Canadian channel and talk to someone who actually is unbiased and understands the issues, the country and the sport.
This is a big time sell-out and the fact that Don wears a little red maple leaf tie pin changes fuck all.
Smally, it's tough for you to argue that you somehow represent an angry "majority" when the candidate who best represents your brand of silly "outrage" just got his ass kicked and won a minority of the vote.
If the world was as you say it is, the last election would have been a neck and neck between the Tories, the People's Party and Hitler. In reality, most Canadians think your views are annoying at best and a ludicrous joke.
Now you can march around as much as you like claiming that somehow you represent a vast majority of real Canadians and no doubt we will hear your little refrain over and over and over. But all the evidence suggests that you're world exists only in your head and in the pages of the Daily Stormer and Breitbart magazine.

I don't get it. Is this jealousy? Cherry did media rounds, yesterday. He is not exactly unknown in America. Why wouldn't he go on Fox? It is the most watched network after all and Carlson is the second highest rated opinion show. Stephen LeDrew appears on the show- not exactly a raving rightist and Mark Steyn is a regular. What were you haters hopping for? That Cherry would beg for forgiveness and put a shotgun in his mouth? He's a man- a confusing concept in Canada in particular and on the left in general.

He didn't have to do Fox News. This is a Canadian news issue. Don made a career out of bombastically boosting Canada. Then he runs off and does a segment for an American news channel which has a low rep for integrity and will frame his story to suit their own ends.
If he just did the rounds of Canadian news channels, I wouldn't give a shit one way or the other. I'm sure he wasn't short of offers of interviews on Canadian shows.
Cherry made the front page of Fox. It's completely normal in that case for him to offer his side of the story. Clearly FNC deemed it a newsworthy item.

I read today on city tv I think that he is not even sorry for it. He said something to the effect that if he wasn't going to be fired he would have apologized so basically he would have given a BS sorry.

Can't say I disagree. I don't care who you are. You are now in a country that pays respect to those who fought for this country to be here. If you are a good Canadian, you would pay respect and if you are not, then you are a pretty shitty person to love somewhere you enjoy and yet not show respect for how it got there.

Most Fox viewers know shit about Canada, ice hockey or Cherry.

I don't know, it's extremely difficult to find a Canadian news organization that doesn't have an ideological bias either. Better than Fox News, but still pretty bad. I miss the days when news organizations didn't inject a bias into their reporting.
First, it seems enough Canadians follow Fox News. So this seems to fall into the category let's bitch about someone's right to speak. Enough people including Canadians are listening like it or not.
Second, I believe he did say that his mistake was saying "you people". I, oagre, jcpro and most of us know that in this hypersensitive world you probably don't want to criticize immigrants on any level nor address them in this manner. In the scheme of things, Cherry committed an offense, but I'm not sure how big an offense. In a world where people try to demonize the use of the phrase "illegal immigrant" it should come as know surprise that the reaction is what it is.
I'm sure some here felt Cherry's commending rural Canada for wearing poppies as opposed to urban areas as white nationalism.

Canada is set to Balkanize in the next 50 years or so. People like Cherry are not the problem. People who can’t give up their shitty ways and embrace a system that works are the problem. We have a failed system we just can’t acknowledge it yet and Cherry is simply making an obvious statement about the state of our shared culture, which increasingly doesn’t exist.
