A very helpful note. But on the occasion of your re-opening this old thread, let me suggest you Search "tickets", or even the more limited "parking tickets" to get an idea of how much flogging this poor dead beast has already endured.

The by-law officer must have been hiding in a car or the bushes.

Parking ticketers are Metro Police rejects. When they give me a ticket I tell them how effing honoured I am to be contributing to their pension fund.

You don't just contribute to the pension fund, you pay their wage! So, they laugh at you in the end. It's just a ticket and if you didn't understand the tone of my post did you? I laughed it about and that's it.

Sure you laughed about it but really did you do something to deserve a fine? Its a bullshit law you supported it. There are parking zones and no parking zones, there is no reason to pay for parking in parking zones.

Of course he did something to deserve it. He parked in a place that you have to pay money to park at and didn't pay. Don't like the law? Convince the politicians to change it. Or hey, run for office and do it yourself......

Used to be a reasonable amount to pay $5, 10, 15, 30, now its only $30. To me thats a bullshit law. Also there is 4ways to pay it on the internet, phone, bank, or at office. Only way to fight it is at the office. Again bullshit

Every person - poor, rich or otherwise - have the choice to park and take the risk of getting said ticket. Can't afford the ticket park where your supposed and pay for the parking or don't drive.

Any traffic ticket is a voluntary tax - if you follow the rules you don't pay. If you volunteer to break the rules your volunteering to pay. Don't like the amount or the rules - talk to those who made the rules.
