I know you're kinda new, and subborn, but this is a discussion forum, and the idea is for us to discuss things ...... therefore you can't just come in here and tell the conversation is over. That's just rude. Get it?
It's none of our business really it's up to the property owner and the op.

huh ... I thought parking at Liberty Village Metro was free... but I might be wrong ....
Past couple years have been pay.

As for the ticket, you don't have to pay. Only police (municipal) issued tickets have real repercussions. They do have the option of calling the police if you are on their property again to ticket and/or tow you. I haven't heard about that happening but it's possible.

Another possibility that I've heard of is to send the company the couple dollars it would have cost if you had paid.

throw it in the garbage. You'll never hear from them again. Cost them more time, money and effort to get the 20 bucks or whatever it is they're trying to get.

I've had lots of these, never paid once and never heard a peep from anyone.
Incorrect sir. Many of them do keep trying. Parked near the ACC once, in a private lot. Their machine was not working so I put a note on my car but still got a ticket. I won't pay it. Parking should have been $10, ticket was for $30. Every year or so for the past 4 years I get a collection notice saying it's now $120 and it's going on my credit report. Fuck em.

You should really get your act straight when giving advise. It's none of our business to. Discuss a simple parking infraction, however is your business to tell a neighbour that his wife is cheating with lots of guys?

impark is being sued for over $50 million in damages. apparantly they are violating the ontario consumer protection act.

I would just ignore it and throw it away.

OP, just don't pay the ticket, its worthless.
However, note that if you choose not to pay the Imperial Parking fine for parking without a ticket, they are within their legal right to tow your vehicle off any Imperial Park premise if you park in any of their locations. This will only happen if the person who issues the tickets takes time and does a check on your "Plate". If you change your plates, they can't do anything but issue you another ticket (unless you paid this time).

They are also in their legal right to send it to collections, where it CAN end up on your credit report. For $30, totally not worth the potential hassle.

Also, ta ta Ashley V. It was bantastic knowing you ;)

Find the asshole that wrote the ticket, call the cops and say he damaged your car while trying to break into it.

Thank you everyone for your kind advice. Aside from Ashley of course who gave utterly useless advice. After reading all the posts I've decided not to pay this ticket. I go to Metro to buy groceries all the time and never bother to walk over to the machine. In and out in 20 minutes but this time a ticket on my windshield. I intend to continue to buy my groceries there but moving forward I'll buy a ticket and I'm presuming Metro will reimburse me for parking for buying groceries there.

I've gotten a few of these BS tickets over the years and never paid a single one and never had any calls.

I don't understand how they got your contact information. The province will not give out personal information or contact information under any circumstances (save and except the 407).

So how did they get yours?

thank you captain of the star ship enterprise. I was thinking the same thing. Can they find anyone with just a license plate. That's more reassurance that the right decision was made.
