What a waste of skin. All she has ever done is humiliate her parents and take up space. I hope some bull dyke makes a real bitch out of her.
Her mother Kathy Hilton, I’m sure helped her daughter’s case when she laughed when the prosecutor asked for jail time. And she’s lucky the Judge didn’t hear her mouth “this is a joke” when he was announcing his decision - or Judges have tougher hides in Los Angles than in some other parts of the U.S.

Further given Kathy Hilton’s remark to reporters that the judicial proceedings were "pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke." I feel comfortable in saying that her parents enable Paris - and not just in her having more money than she knows what to do with. :(

Paris just feeds off the whole celeb thing. I think it's us who are fools reading up on this stuff.

Furthermore, I think it's ridiculous she goes to jail. The judge wants his 15 minutes. If you compare that to the more serious crimes where people get off with probation you have to wonder.

Driving under the influence is hardly a joke.

Yes, but that is not what she is going to jail for.
Yes it is. Her license was suspended and she was given probation for driving under the influence. She subsequently ignored the terms of her probation order, and so she is being sent to jail.

ANYONE who repeatedly ignores the terms of their probation (she got caught violating it TWICE) goes to jail. I think you missed the part where she is ALREADY out on probation, so probation plainly doesn't work for her.

She's being treated just like anyone else.

In a very dark place
When they do the internal when she checks in I've asked them to feel around for my wristwatch and car keys.

I think the other good quote of her mom was something to the effect of "the verdict was a dissapointment and after all the money we spent". NOBODY in that family gets it.

Only thing more pathetic is the petition to Arnold that some fans have started. Basically to the effect that she deserves leniency because she enriches the humdrum lives of others by being herself.

You just confirmed what I said earlier. She is not going to jail for drinking and driving, but for violating probation. If she was stopped for drinking and driving a second time while under probation I would certainly agree with jail, but that wasn't the case.

Isn't the legal situation that she avoided jail for DUI by being put on probation?
And the deal is, if she breaches the rules of probation, the original jail sentence kicks in?

So what, she should get probation for violating probation? That might be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. She was convicted of a serious offense, and as an alternative to jail time, she was put on probation with a number of conditions. She then chose not to follow those conditions. She already had her second chance and wasted it -- demonstrating that she can't be trusted to follow conditions, so why give her another opportunity to ignore them? She's lucky she's only getting 45 days -- she could've gotten 90.

Absolutely, I agree 100 percent!!! I don't know about the "big city" but in rural areas people who violate their probation routinely go back to prison to serve at least some if not all of their remaining time.

I'm sure if the judge has heard once he's heard a thousand times "but I never received notice from DMV" - one of my personal favorite was the person who had the suspension notice in his personal effects when he was booked into jail to serve his sentence - his excuse to the judge had been "I never received notice." (I should add that this was a instance of straight across the street from the courthouse to the jail).

Not to be rude to you Meister but this is a case then where "it sucks to be her."

Do something stupid and violate your probation and expect to serve at least part of your outstanding sentence in prison.

What part of the judge gave me a BIG break on my DUI/DWI/OUI and I have to keep my nose really, really clean for the next three years or I'm certainly going to spend time in jail didn't the airhead grasp.

I've know many function illiterates who grasped this concept. Oops then again since we're speaking of Paris. . .

The judge may be within his legal boundary to give such a harsh sentence, but something tells me that this is a case of:
" we are going to teach those spoilt, good for nothing rich kids a lesson and make her an example for all the other Lohans and Spears "

I'm sure that an ordinary single mother of 2 kids working 2 jobs would not go to jail in the same situation.

Yes she would. And likely have her kids seized by the CAS too. Are you suggesting Paris is getting unfair treatment because the judge didn't order the state to seize her kids?

When have you ever, ever heard of someone violating the terms of their probation not once, but twice, and not getting packed off to jail?

You may well be right. But again in which case "it sucks to be her." I doubt such a probation revocation would be thrown out on appeal unless it was completely outside the normal range (i.e. no one ever in California has had to serve 45 days of a three year suspended sentence when their probation was revoked) otherwise hopefully she learns something and others in her position do "straighten out and fly right."

You might be right, but not for the reason you think. She probably wouldn't go to jail for violating probation, because she probably wouldn't have gotten probation in the first place.
