It's amazing how many of us out there deal with this. I almost feel like the ratio has to be 1 in 4 have some time of mental illness. I've told many of my friends about my anxiety and depression. Have never told them about the panic attacks
Okay, so I was gonna PM you but I figure I might as well write my solution ITT if others suffer from it as well.
First of all, I know you're a drinker (as I am also). Even moderate amounts of weekly alcohol can severely diminish your vitamins and minerals which are stored inside your body. There are tons of studies that have proven this:

Vitamin B-complex is critical for a healthy central nervous system. So when you drink too much your body is depleted of these vitamins.
The mineral magnesium is also destroyed by alcohol:

What you wanna do is go to a store like Noah's and buy vitamin B-complex plus magnesium. Start taking 1 tablet of each twice a day and I guarantee you your anxiety will be a lot less within a week or two.
I used to get anxiety as well, but when I started taking vitamins it pretty much went away (it still lingers a bit though).
I also limited my boozing to just twice a week now and that has also helped.
The most important vitamin B's are B-12 and thiamine. Those two tend to be very sensitive to alcohol intake for some reason.
I would buy B-12 separately and make sure you get sublingual B-12 because that vitamin is not absorbed well by the stomach
