He was a little hard to understand but not all of it, Palin never even caught on it was a joke. He should have kept her going until she caught on.

Joe, it sounds as though you have a bad case of '20/20 hindsight disease.'

Are you really trying to tell us with a straight face that if there was a legitimate reason why you should be called (let us say that your company was the winner bidder on a contract) time had passed and this current prank was out of mind, and someone with access to a switch board and several different people to play roles, so that it sounded telephoned and said that Chancellor Merkel of Germany wanted to speak with you or President Kaczynski of Poland and that during the conversation said something that you thought was over the top that you'd call them on it? And quite how would you propose to redeem the situation after it turned out that it really was who they said it was?

Pranksters like this rely upon abusing their victims trust for “a laugh” now if someone pulled a prank on them making them believe that their wife or child had been critically injured for example, I rather doubt that they’d find the abuse of trust particularly “entertaining.”

Take Hillary-who I dislike too-I can't believe she would have reacted the same way. Hillary has been around in the world and met leaders of different country's. Palin is no different than most people...it was the first time she spoke to a leader--in her mind.

If McCain wins and then passes away next month, Palin will be the US president in 2 short months.

The gals on The View TV Show, today got a bit of mileage over this.
They were surprised how those Canadians got through `phone security` to talk to the Ditz. They said when they tried calling her nobody could get through to her!...

Funny, I heard it and didn't think she was that bad. She seemed to be willing to take the prank in stride and then her handlers came on and ended the conversation.

No wonder she's going rogue.

I think Palin is a fool and a poor choice for VP. The pranksters did well to get through to Palin, so they get marks for that. But really, they were just playing on the fact that Palin has no experience talking with heads of state. She was trying to be all smiles and agreeable. What else would anyone do in her situation? Call him a jerk for making sexually suggestive comments with a complete stranger? With the French accent, I am sure they managed to slip in a few jokes at her expense that she might have caught otherwise. So they had a good laugh, their listeners had a good laugh, I had a good laugh. What does it all mean? Nothing. And I hope she isn't elected tomorrow.

What does it mean that they did exactly the same thing to President Sarkozy? Others have done it to Jean Chrétien, Prime Minister Harper, The Queen - as I recall the entire conversation was in French and she didn't put a single foot wrong.

As I posted to you before Joe. Hindsight is always 20/20. Most of us if we thought we were speaking with a foreign leader, or the CEO of the Company we just signed the "big deal with" would not even if they said very strange things - say "what the Hell is wrong with you!" Thats the point Mrs Palin isn't any different than most of us...and we should not be the V.P. of the USA either.
