Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians threatened to rise to a dangerous new pitch on Wednesday when a three-year-old baby girl died after a car ploughed into a busy tram stop in Jerusalem at rush hour in what police said was a deliberate "terror" attack.

An Arab driver plowed his vehicle into a crowd of people at a light rail station along the seam-line between East and West Jerusalem late Wednesday morning, killing a Border Police officer, and injuring 14 more people, one of them critically.

“Ten people were wounded, one of whom is in critical condition,” emergency services spokesman Zaki Heller said.

Magen David Adom paramedics reported that two people were seriously hurt, and three moderately injured.

Policemen were among the injured, according to Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch.

The bulldozing of the homes on the Gaza border was at the behest of Israel.. and the US. If you are gonna claim the Egyptians did that without prodding from Israel and the US go ahead and display your stupidity to everyone. I did not say the soldiers had it coming, I said WE as a nation had it coming as a byproduct of sending planes to bomb Isis. Just a statement of fact. I have actually supported the bombing of ISIS although I think US foreign policy blunders are partly responsible for their ascendance? Yes the way cops behave in our country, they do deserve to be called pigs on occasion. The killing of Sammy Yatim was one of those occasions.
