Is this, will this become a problem here as well.

A significant trial in England has just concluded with convictions of nine men of Pakistani background who groomed a large number of white teenagers and pre- teenagers. Sir Trevor Phillips, the chairman of the British Equalities and Human Rights Commission, has stated that is fatuous to believe that there is no racial link in the Rochdale child sex grooming case and that it would be a national scandal if it emerged that social services and schools had not acted on reports of abuse for fear of demonising minorities.

I raise the question since a lot of the same sort of "that can't possibly be true" seems to be expresed here on TERB.

i for one don't support homogenizing ... there needs to be a mosaic of different cultures, even if it means division of different ethnicities, groups separating and living in clusters. World just becomes boring when everyone mixes up, cultures are lost

Well Cultures will always exist so long as people have the freedom to express themselves. Some juvinile examples would be the Goth, Cyber Goth, Steampunk, Rap, Prep-like cultures that continue to form.

I don't think complete homogeniety is ever possible with humans.

You find one sex ring and that means many more are going to pop up in its place.

And of course let's mention black pimps. But what about mob, biker or asian run sex trade? Not to mention there have been sex rings involving rich, white men too.

If you think that the problem was that hte sex ring was Pakistani or any other ethnic group you have a problem. There are people looking to exploit women, period.

There's a deeper, sadder underlying story to these sex ring stories..... the families of the girls who are taken into these sex rings.

Sure some of them are probably good families but I'm also sure there are some where the homelife was so shitty for these girls that they were vulnerable to being exploited in this way.

And to be honest it doesn't take much for a child to feel unhappy at home.... fighting parents, separation, poverty, substance abuse, difficulties in school, physical or sexual abuse, orr even just working parents who aren't around enough to see what their kids are doing. Not saying that these are signs/symptons merely that they are warning flags that a child could be at risk.

Stopping immigration won't end social ills.
