Bernardo's lawyer hid the videotapes and was later suspended by the Law Society for doing that.
He has killed before in a drunk driving crash on Mount Pleasant
I know this is a little off topic but does anyone know what happened in the case of those 2 women that were murdered in that airbnb house on the Niagara Pkwy some months back?
I saw a Facebook post of one of the victims, I think she was from Windsor, and she really gave off this sex worker vibe so the case piqued my interest for a while but then dropped off my radar. The other victim was from TO I think and she also looked like she was in the industry...
Any updates would be appreciated. I would Google them and the case myself but I've forgotten their names.

No arrests made yet. Not even sure they have any real leads.
Last I had heard they were looking for the restaurant that takeout containers were from, hoping to identify payment info, or camera info. They found the restaurant, but it did not pan out.

They searched the bungalow for 71 days (!) before lawyer retrieved them
A 2+ month search tells me they knew evidence was there, they just could not find it
(Tapes were concealed in a false ceiling)
As well there are a few points your reply really glazes over
1) Most lawyers were furious the Crown even attempted to charge Ken Murray over the tapes, and most said the pedo charge was bullshit vindictiveness by the Crown who were embarrassed
2) Ken Murray never "hid" the tapes to prevent them from being used in the trial. He held them as a defence for Paul to discredit Karla's bullshit at trial. Only thing up in the air is whether the Crown being so anxious to nab Paul fed Karla the bullshit or whether she cooked it herself as a way to get a sweetheart deal
3) LSUC (law society of upper Canada) not only found Ken Murray not guilty of proffesional misconduct, they even went back and changed thier own internal rules / code as NOTHING Murray did was not allowed (at the time; today a lawyer doing same thing would get in shit due to changes). The suspension you refer to was simply for the investigation, no diff than a cop being sent home while an alleged offence is looked into

Thanks for the update. Given the location I've got a feeling the perps could quite possibly have been American too considering how close to the border the house is. I have never been to that area but I would imagine you could be back in the states within 1/2 an hour. I am thinking it was a Toronto organized party. Before the lockdowns, there was a huge uptick in gun violence (for a small town like Niagara) and it mostly wanna be gang bangers from Toronto, here to party at a club or Air B&B.

Did he know there was beef before he got there? Or maybe he was told to be there for something else....?
I doubt the shooting was planned... but the thing with idiots is, they don't usually make data based decisions... they kinda let emotions steer the ship.
And careful people... just because there was a victim that died... don't make the mistake of automatically making him out to be smart, or a saint. He clearly was expecting something for himself out of this meeting that went bad or he would not have shown up.

She is getting very good legal advice. Bottom line, she could escape prosecution on many unknown potential charges.
She is immune from prosecution on charges not related to the extradition request:
