Well I have just painted my loft a colour I thought I loved. I really don't like it at all. This is the SECOND 1 litre sample can of paint I have bought! Thought I loved both, painted the loft and HATE IT TOO!

PLEASE NOTE I did actually ATTEMPT a sample and liked the one wall(6 feet wide 24 feet high) but not my whole house, and anyone with a loft will tell you it's a pain to paint despite being mostly plain straight walls.

I am now MUCH MORE than irritated. I really don't want to hire a designer but I am curious if I hire a painter and show them a few colours are they at all helpful in knowing what would work. MY ARMS HURT I can paint NO MORE!!!

Also if anyone has name of a good painter PLEASE advise. I am officially hanging up my roller.

ok I am done ventingready for advice!

2 words,

Accent walls.

Absolutely right. I've done my place that way (mostly because I was too lazy to do the whole thing) and it looks pretty good. I have a combination of the original white on one side and a mix of unfinished concrete and paint that accents my furniture on the other. In a small place, any bold colour is too overpowering to do the whole place.
