Oxygen Retreat and Golf

After reading the info on Oxygen I'm thinking of booking a week there in June. How close is the resort to the Puerto Plata golf course? I've been to DR a few times over the years but never tried a resort like this. It would be a great trip to combine hobbying and golf.

Playa Grande - aka "Peeble Beach of the Caribbean" is a great golf course right on the coast with spectacular scenery. It's about 45min east of Oxygen – the opposite direction of Playa Dorada, which is near Puerto Plata in the tourist/resort area which shares the same name. That’s about 1 hour west of Oxygen.

I agree with AKAT. You must play Playa Grande. I play it every time I stay at O2 or anyplace else on the North Coast. The sceanery is spectacular. It is worth the 45 minute ride

I don't see the age restriction on their website. did I miss it or it doesn't apply anymore?

Sounds like it would be a blast...18 holes on the course..18 holes at the retreat.
