The $10 increase at The Brass Club only applies to 30, 45, 60 min sessions. 75, 90 min sessions went up $20.00 and 2 hours went up $40.00. If you have a duo session, the price went up $30 across the board. Like in any industry, the consumer will pay for the increase.

My point was not to compare MA to SP just to try to point out the reasoning newly independent MAs may charge what they do. It wasnt as simple as just charging the same $180 as a spa. A SPs expenses may not be as much as a permanent spa set up for an independent MA. Now the MAs that just use hotels should be able to charge less as their expenses may not be as much. There are also quality independent MAs that charge the same or even less than spas
As for Adele, I believe her business model is less about making a profit and more about providing other MAs (or sensualist as she likes to call it) an opportunity to put more money in their pocket. She also has less overhead I believe.

i saw one of the SPAs mention all kinds of reasons as to the price increase. The intent of the post was apreciated and I get some of them but comparing to Toronto prices is not something I buy. Toronto prices might be higher but overall your mileage will be a lot higher than it is in most spas here. Unless that changes the price increase just makes alternatives more appealing. I'm not saying I won't go. I'm sure I will but there will be instances where I will choose an alternative whereas I wouldn't have previously.
Adele is back with new hourly rate $190 (previous $160). I think it looks bad to rent out your place if you are charging less that major spas rate (Brass and CMJ). One of her renter also increased from 160 to 180 and now 190. The current $190 just started when she joined the OIC.

It does look suspicious to charge less than average but I mostly raised my 60min rate to encourage longer appointments and quality encounters, my 90min & 120min rate are now way below Ottawa's average. I suggested Sadie to do the same, it's working well for both of us.
Well it is Adele's rate and her business; however, if she charges $160 but the MAs rents at her place want to charge higher than $160 then clients will wonder and compare.
At the end of the day this is still a business. Clients are paying; and not providers, not spa owners and not advertisers.

Because I have a lot of professional photoshoots, videos, contents and I show my face. It looks suspicious to charge less than the average when I can get away with more, I come across as a fake who only try to get you at the door.
