If you've had a couple of drinks and start driving shortly afterwards, you could easily be close to .08 so a small penalty is probably warranted. But lots of responsible people will have a single glass of wine at a nice restaurant and feel comfortable driving home at .05. I think the gov't needs to demonstrate that .05 causes impairment before they are justified in clamping down to this extent. We have to maintain a sense of proportion. The hospitality and toursim industries have taken a shit-kicking because of our increased vigilance over alcohol and smoking. If you can't have one glass of wine with your dinner, you may as well stay home. Which is exactly what will happen.fuji said:You shouldn't be driving after "a couple of drinks" unless you've waited for the effects to wear off....
This is what they said about smoking but after a (major) downturn, things picked up again.slowpoke said:If you've had a couple of drinks and start driving shortly afterwards, you could easily be close to .08 so a small penalty is probably warranted. I think you are overstating the point. Try http://caaneo.ca/about/blog/blood-alcohol-calculator. I realize it is a guideline and things vary from person to person.slowpoke said:If you've had a couple of drinks and start driving shortly afterwards, you could easily be close to .08 so a small penalty is probably warranted. If you think that anything he threw was at the cops, I am not surprised.tboy said:LOL you're stretching it....really.
But you never answered me: if someone came into your home, picked up your computer monitor and threw it, picked up your furniture and started throwing it around the room, and otherwise started acting crazy would you want them to stop him or sweat talk him into maybe stopping?
Again, are you blind or just stupid?tboy said:....
But you really ought to learn to read: In my posts you quoted I specifically stated in black and white: Sorry he threw the monitor IN FRONT OF THE COPS (the first ones.....). What part of THAT don't you understand?
That is cool.hunter001 said:I think you are overstating the point. Try http://caaneo.ca/about/blog/blood-alcohol-calculator. I realize it is a guideline and things vary from person to person.
Did you forget this or do you just not understand your own bullshit?tboy said:He also threw a computer monitor at them and I also think he threw a chair, as well as ignore their warnings to stop, and get down.
The cops were not even in the same room when the objects were thrown so your interpretation of the person in the video stating "in front of the cops" is obviously wrong.tboy said:Sorry at 1:19 he threw the monitor in front of the cops, (as you can hear on the video) and a little later he picked it up and looked to throw it at the cops (the first ones, not the ones that tasered him).
