I think what's more disturbing is that you went on a bus tour instead of renting a Citroen to zoom through the countryside.goodtime said:Last year, on a day tour group thru France, my bus with mostly Americans criticized the French the entire ride. Made me wonder why they bother to visit France
Working on it. It's on the books. As I usually preferred to take the wheels.Meister said:I think what's more disturbing is that you went on a bus tour instead of renting a Citroen to zoom through the countryside.
Nice joke in the sig line..."Nur den Kopf nicht verlieren"Meister said:I think what's more disturbing is that you went on a bus tour instead of renting a Citroen to zoom through the countryside.
Nothing beats the Citreon 2CV for style.goodtime said:Prefer their parent company Peugeot for style and reliability. Like M.B. & Chrysler.

Ahhhh, Trabant, I love all those communist cars. I remember Skoda used to offer a 5 year rust warranty back in the 80's. Trouble was that everything else was broken down
after 3 years.

Most are from the Maghreb, not the middle east.langeweile said:In my business i have met a lot of french people and I have to meet one yet, that has anything posistive to say about the mideasterners in their country.
Most Frenchmen are quite critical of their own country and certainly do not think themselves “above” anyone.langeweile said:i just find it ironic that france has the same problems..they always pretend to be so far above anybody else,,
Not really, since the two issues were and are totally unrelated.meister said:It is somewhat ironic that the French have to deal with the anger of the Muslim world after they were the biggest opponent of the Iraq war.
The mayor of Paris has nothing to do with this. Unlike North America, where the economic underclasses congregate in the “inner cities”, in L’île de France it is the opposite. The well to do live in Paris, the poor live in the suburban housing projects, outside the limits of the 20 arrondissements. There has been little to no violence within the Paris city limits.xarir said:Back to the matter at hand, I'm surprised that the French government, and in particular the mayor of Paris, have allowed things to go on this long.
