We have to remember that the Chinese have a philosophy and value system very different than those of us here in the West.
They don't believe in human rights the way we do, they don't believe in intellectual property rights at all, they comply with child labour laws out of international imposition not moral choice, they definitely don't believe in preserving the environment or climate change, and see no issue with humans as being at the top of the food chain to rape and pillage the earth as they see fit - for profit or growth or food or energy - and be damned with the future, they see the Dalai Lama as a slave master and consider the occupation of Tibet as equal to freeing slaves by Abarham Lincoln, they quietly practice eugenics terminating many girls before birth on a regular basis, an on and on. Even many Chinese here in Canada still hold on to many of these values and, like Muslims who do nothing about the mental radicals that have taken Islam, many ethnic Chinese in the West turn a blind eye to the 'poor behaviour' in their motherland.
But aren't the low prices at Wal-Mart or the fakes in Pacific Mall grand in today's economy? Even we Westerners have a price and it turns out to be cheap too.
Plus I have to call TERBites to the carpet. Chinese have been killing tens of millions of sharks in inhuman ways for centuries, but where's PETA and their high moral pretentiousness? Right. Not cute, that's why.
