Anybody interested in making a group of a couple people and playing the Pro Pools?

Either making out a couple $80 cards each week, or possibly going bigger and pooling together to guarantee 9-10 games per week... to guarantee 9 games, it costs $2,560. 10 games is $5120.

Not to be rude but......

Your a newbie and an unknown variable on terb community. I don't think anybody is willing to put up that kind of cash to join your group. I'm in the terb lotto group whenever there is a big draw with Fred. At 10 or 20 dollars a week, depending on what lotto is being played, I've seen most only 10 players at one time. But usually 6.

No problem.

I was more looking for a couple people from around the same area, to discuss and possibly meet up to do this, not do it over the 'net.

lets say you spend 5120, to cover 10 games. What happens to the other games, depending on the week. Could be 3-6 more games. What happens when the pool prize at the end is only 330 bucks when everybody else wins it.

The payout was like $1,300 the past 2 weeks.... both were 13 game weeks. 2 weeks before that the payout was $390,000, week before that $75,000.

So what happens when the payout is low? We lose money... what happens when it is high and we hit? We get paid.

you didn't answer what you do for the remainder of games, you are guaranteed 10 games, what happens to the remainder of games? Depending on the week, theres still 3-6 games left.

Thats why you leave out the few games that are locks, like this week was, NE over Indy, New Orleans over detroit, san fran over st. louis and even GB over the giants. Thats 4 games you don't have to worry about plus the 10 gauaranteed = 14 games.

This is what we would've done for week 13.

Yes, If you go and make out 32 cards, guarantee 9 games. 6 left to pick. So you pick NE, GB and NO.

So far we've spent $2560. We are guaranteed 9 games, and we've chosen NE, GB and NO.

Now there are 3 games left to pick, say we go PIT, SF and NYJ.

So for our Pro Pools card to win, we need NE, GB, NO, PIT, SF and NYJ to win.

Assuming we think it is unlikely that NE, GB and NO will lose, we do nothing with them.

We now can hedge our bets offshore, betting on the opposing teams of PIT, SF, NYJ. We would need to calculate how much to bet on all 3 to cover our original $2560 + our 3 cover bets on PIT, SF , NYJ. If we do this, the only way we can lose $$ is if NE, GB or NO lose, or the Pro Pools payout is lower than what we spend.

So what it all comes down to, is what do you think the payout will be? Even if you don't cover any games, the cost is only $2,560, and we'd need to pick 6 games, or $5,120 and pick 5 games. Yes that's a good chunk of $$, but you're odds of winning just increased dramatically.

Pokergod - Over the past 6 weeks, the payout has averaged over $100,000. Yes when there is 13 games, and little to no upsets, there will be hundreds of winners. This week there wasn't many big upsets, and the payout this week is $39,000. If we spent $2,560 we would've only needed to get 6 games correct to win $39,000.
