Any one know the answer??

There are 13 games in the NFL today and tomorrow.
In the OLG Proline game, how many combinations would be required to cover all possible combinations? Each combination is $5 .
Number of combos x $5 = Total cost of wager.

Thanks

Week 2 was tough. I believe there was 14 winners for Pro Picks Pools with 15/16...you don't often see a non-perfect ticket taking home the prize but it did this week. Quite a few number of upsets and games that caught people off-guard.

Just a ?: Do you guys play Pools on your own or do you join other players and split the cost of boxing games to make it more financially manageable? For 16 and 15-games cards, it's always a challenge, i guess you have to plan for the worst and hope for the best.
im playing on my own. wish i could get in pool. three times this year if I only boxed a game or two I would have hit.

A couple of years ago I was in a pool at work. The advantage of the pool was you could box 4 on a couple of tickets. We won a couple of times on those weeks when there are thousands of winners, so the winnings were low (though a couple hundred always helped).

The closest I have been is 1 win away (twice) and it was on a non-boxed ticket.

Next week could be a goofy week because some teams have clinched play-off spots with no opportunity to improvoce their seed (bench the starters).

So 25480 bucks will get you the win
Yessiree... pretty risky if you ask me! I have seen weeks when the payout has been just over $1,000.

So that wraps up another season for the ProPicks Pools. The closest that I came this year is 1 game (goddamn Miami beating Oakland and then proceeded to lose 3 or 4 straight after). I also missed by 2 games more than 1 occasion. The most I spent was $80 to box 4 and the least I spent was $10 to box 1 game.

I was also part of an earlier group. We had some disagreements and the losses were taking a toll on me so I decided to withdraw. It's not easy making everyone happy but you have to stand your grounds and be prepared to deal with a lot of b.s.

Good luck to all Poolies next year, I hope there is no lockout! and Happy New Year to all...

You wanna here about BS Propick Pools. I don't play if often becuase it's a suckers bet. However, that said I bet on College Football for
the last weekend in season.(Early December) I boxed 3 games and my 8 other selections all came through. They were some heavy faves,
but there were some 3-4 point faves as well to make it closer. Well, my ticket cashed in at $38.70 becuase there was 1100 winners. Talk
about BS, didn't even get my money back. Lol..Here I was thinking what kind of nice X-mas gift I was gonna get myself. Lol..

stealth, I have never been a big fan of college pools (or any Pools other than the NFL) for a couple of reasons: I don't follow said sports as closely as the NFL and do not feel I can adequately and accurately predict the outcomes and secondly: the participation level for those Pools is miniscule compared to the NFL.

I believe the average pot for college football pool hovers around $30K, tops. Nothing to sneeze at but it pales in comparison to its big brother.

Contrary to your opinion, I believe playing the NFL Pools can be +EV proposition. You just have to know what teams to box and what teams to pick straight-up. It's obviously easier said than done but I guess it goes without saying that you can't win if you don't play.

Just wondering if you folks are still playing Proline and ProPicks now that football is long gone and possibly won't be back for who knows how long.

I find hockey and college basketball difficult to handicap and to win...due to the sheer volume of games available on any given night (pressed for time). Also the nature of the sports compared to football where we only need to look at a certain amount of games on any given week and you know the players will bring their A game due to the shorter season.

Baseball is back next week but it has always been a grind.
