Who is the oldest and youngest player to ever:

1) Win NHL scoring title? (I think the youngest is Wayne G.)
2) Win the AL batting title. (I think the oldest is Ted Williams and the youngest is Al Kaline.)
3) Win the NL batting title.

Bonds is the oldest to win an NL Batting Title @ 40 years, 71 days (which also makes him the oldest player to win a batting title)

Gordie Howe is the oldest to win the scoring title at 35

Gretzky is the youngest...

...at the moment, but if Crosby holds on to his 10 point lead, he will topple one of Gretzky's records, but not sure how many others he can catch. Certainly living up to the hype though...

Thanks guys,
I did have Sidney Crosby in mind when I posted this question. If he succeeds, it is hard to think of anyone who could win an NHL scoring title at a younger age as I think one has to be at least 18 to play in the NHL.

it used to be 17.

it now states:
Players who turn 18 by September 15 and are not older than 20 by December 31 are eligible in the entry draft. Players must turn 18 by September 15 to play in that season.
Jordan Staal was just 5 days eligible for this season... his 18th b-day was sept. 10th! he's almost 2 whole years younger than Evgeni Malkin.
