I guess it's kind of understandable unless they're looking for a sugar daddy.

It just seems that older guys like me (37) are discriminated by 27-28 year olds. Ten years is not that big of an age gap is it?

Ah, let 'em. If they can't appreciate what maturity and experience offers, it's their loss.

I have found that I am not discriminated against by the young ladies. In fact ,to the contrary. For the longest time my girlfriends have been in their early to late twenties (I am 46) and, for the most part, they persue me. NO, I do not make a point of getting the younger ones; it just happens.

Usually they think I'm younger than I am. Then when they find out they keep telling me I'm in good shape for my age. No probs...

I don't get dissed by younger women because in their minds I am so far from being romantically interesting, it never occurs to them that I might be interested in them. I'm so monumentally uninteresting to them romantically that they don't even feel the need to slap me down.

So I'm like their gay friend that they can talk to. Only, with far less style.

Spiker, what do you think is the problem? Being a large membered member, it can't be that!!! Is your confidence level ok? How old are you? Ya know, you have to make it happen, not just let it happen.

Well my member is kind of covered in the cold weather :-(

Seriously, not really sure what it is. For sure my confidence is down, still dealing with a bad break up 5 month ago. Still though, never had the gift of gab wth the ladies, just too damn shy.

I'm 38, have a lot going for me, you know, education, job, hair, home etc. I'm starting to think I'm out for good!!
Dealing with a break-up is tough, Spiker. Give yourself time, and explore your single side. As soon as you stop watching the kettle, it'll boil.

Hey, we've all had our dry spells. I've found that it's feast or famine. When it's dead, it's really dead. But sometimes I've ended up meeting 3 or 4 women in a month and find it difficult scheduling them all in.

Back to the age thing. I've found that music seems to be one barometer as to whether or not you can relate to the other person. And in ten years, music trends really do change...can't quite fully get into hip hop.

Spiker!!! Look, anyone will tell you that what women go for is confidence. To hell with the hair, muscles etc. It is the confidence. We have all had bad breakups and it kills the confidence; JUST FOR A WHILE. DO NOT LET SOME B....... get the better of you. Just not worth it. Get back in the saddle and it will all happen. Think about it, 6.5 Billion people out there........

Not bad advice. Mine to you --- Intimidation will get you nowhere. They simply do not have the goods. I cured myself many years ago by approaching the most intimidating girl I could find ( no, I did not know her ) and going for it. You know, in the end, she was nothing special -- she just thought she was. A lengend in her own mind, as Clint would say! My current girlfriend's daughters have "attitude". Believe me, while they do look good, they are both way sub-par. Pity the poor bastard who is intimidated by them.

Whatever it is,i do not think i ever have been, but then i have the gift of the Gab--the golden Tongue so to speak,i like to think i have a certain Charm---but also do not believe that every Lady i talk to,is smitten at first sight.
Life is too short to hurry.

If you need someone explain to you what diss means, means you are not a young guy.

Getting dissed means getting shut down or cold shoulder.

Sorry couldn't help it :)

BTW, I respect the elderly.

Dissed is young "lingo" for disrespect. If you have been dissed you have been disrespected, grounds in some circles for murder, literally.

Let's get back to original question.

First of all I don't understand 37 as being old. Good lord 37 or 47 or <ahem> 53 is not old unless you want it to be. I suspect Lewd you are portraying yourself as such. I would suggest that 1. you change your attitude to reflect a mature but youthful attitude and
2. Seek out like minded or mature (not age but in mind) people who understand that age is not the only prequisite for fun.

I agree with Thunder. 37 is not old. I myself am 32, but then I use the hexademical number system.

I don't think women care as much about age as we think. Most of the time I get hit on by women in their late teens to early twenties (I'm in my early thirties), and when they learn I'm actually quite a bit older than them, it doesn't really phase them. Halloween night was particularly amusing. I was dressed up in the oldest, geekiest costume I could muster up and I had quite a few younger women chatting me up at the Joker.

I agree with Cybergoth. Ugh... goth and pagan women are some of the worst.
