No real suprises this weekend.
Except the Jets winning in SD and the margin by which GB was beaten.
Time for the real playoffs to start.

I am totally bummed out. I had a chance to take Indy at -10 and Minny at +6.5, but I chickened out on both bets. In retrospect, that Denver-Indy was a license to steal, I don't know what I was thinking. Oh well, hindsight, like they say, is 20-20.
It was darn entertaining watching Indy march up and down the field against Denver, but their defense allowed Denver to score 3 relatively easy touchdowns in the 2nd half. Not a good sign. Much as I like Indy, I think they are going down against NE. Pittsburgh beats the Jets, the Eagles beat the Vikings, and I predict the Rams upset the Falcons. I have to root for the Rams... I picked them pre-season as a 28-1 longshot to win the Super Bowl.

NFL first game of season NE and IC: it was close with lead changes but NE won. Playoff game has more promise than the stuporbowl.
IC is the "Jeopardy Ken Jennings" of football: run up the score then tuff it out. Their much maligned defense is actually pretty good.
NE is a football machine: unique, aggressively coached with no mistakes. But, supposedly NE defensive backs and D line are hurting. NE coaches have to compensate otherwise IC's "Ken Jennings" effect will win the day.

Things being relatively equal always go with the coaching. Edge to NE on the coaching, I'll say! They're brilliant! Converting their leading receiver to a DB to counter IC's onslaught. Brilliant.
Pittsburgh - underwhelming. Champions, like mvp's, don't come with caveats. They need to mature on offense, very simple and predictable, good, but a champion defense will bamboozle them, again.
Atlanta - holy cow they're good. Hope Vick doesn't get injured. PE should copy how NYJ-Parcells defensed Flutie and Vick and Atlanta are toast.
Philadelphia - again with the coaches, excellent just excellent coaching on D and O.
