I could stand for more of this, I was starting to think I was at another San Fran wine tasting......lookingforitallthetime said:LMAO! I honestly got a chuckle out of that one.
You see, elitists like me and Obama can sometimes get down in the muck and enjoy the low brow, unsophisticated humour of the common man.
I don't know what I find more surprising. The fact you believe everyone in San Francisco thinks like your friends, or that you actually have friends.onthebottom said:I could stand for more of this, I was starting to think I was at another San Fran wine tasting......

The friends remark was a low blow.onthebottom said:bada bing......
I spend A LOT of time in San Fran, and lived / worked in NY for almost 7 years. I've heard a lot of simplistic characterizations of those of us lucky enough to grow up in the midwest.....
As for friends... I'm always amazed at the generosity of others, espically woman

At least I'm consistent......lookingforitallthetime said:The friends remark was a low blow.
I have to admit you do have a certain amount of charm. Maybe it comes from the somewhat likable quality of your misguided ideals, naivite and your ability to be wrong pretty much all the time.

And it's only a low blow if you can land it, something I've not yet seen.

The most prominent businessmen in the US are geeks.
Gates, Job, etc.
The US isn't as anti-intellectual as you propose.
Fact is, we respect wisdom and knowledge.
We're pragmatists, and we are very accepting.
Just give us the solutions, no matter from where.
I love San Fran, sure it's full of fruits and nuts but they are completely harmless and a fantastic source of entertainment. It's a great city, probably the second best in North America after NYC - great weather, wine, food, culture and a show on every street corner.Asterix said:I wouldn't have thought such a bastion of liberalism would be to your liking.
Then you hit like a girl.lookingforitallthetime said:It landed alright. You're too punch happy to notice anymore.
Yeah, but at least he's consistent. Or predictable. Take your pick.lookingforitallthetime said:It landed alright. You're too punch happy to notice anymore.

Save the rhetoric. I want results.
I am and always will be a pragmatist.
Shove your conservativism you know here.
It's quite possible your punches pack more of a wallop. I'll get back to you on that if you ever land one.onthebottom said:Then you hit like a girl.
