An “insignificant issue” that 75 percent of the population believes to be important. If the shoe were on the other foot would there not be comments about elitists thinking they know better than 3/4 of the electorate?
The poll is pretty irrelevant to me. A question like 'do you think it is important to make sure that voter fraud is stopped' would get a high response rate. What I think is more significant is how much of a problem has voter fraud actually been. Granted the only source I have on this is the Daily Show but according to them, we're barely talking double digits out of millions of votes cast.

Again, if they knew the potential repercussions, how many in the US would support this? Beyond that, I didn't realize we were now writing sweeping national laws based on polls.
Sweeping national laws... really... I thought they were state laws.

To quote the POTUS:

"If you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things."

How prophetic he was back in 08....

OTB
Dead on. He can't run on his record because he doesn't have one. A worse President than Carter.

Nope. The U.S. was a pathetic shell of it's former self during Carter's administration. Mocked around the world and by it's enemies. Today isn't quite as bleak as the mood of the country was back then, but close. Anybody would be an improvement over Obama because it can't get much worse than it is. Sad really.

Yup cause the good old US of A is just peachy eh Woody? Wow...just wow. It really does make sense that it has fallen and crashed so badly with absolutely zero plan for recovery when the electorate is filled with apologists for a failed POTUS. What's his plan Woody? He doesn't have one. He doesn't have one because it's not on his teleprompter. But hey, I hear Michelle was on Leno again.

Hey JAJA, he does have a plan but GOPer Obstructionist Do-Nothing GOPers have blocked everything, hoping for Failure, then hoping their loyal mind numbed lemmings will believe this is all Obama's fault. Looks like their Dumbing Down Campaign has worked well on you....

And the couple of years that the Democrats controlled Congress? What was his excuse then Woody? ....hold on...I know.....He hasn't got a fucking clue what to do! He's incompetent because he's never run anything in his life. Zero executive experience and it shows.

He got his Healthcare bill through in spite of Do-Nothing GOPers massive obstruction!
Quite a feat indeed!....;)

At present ~66% in the USA view the GOP Obstructionist Congress at fault for not doing anything to help the economy get better!
Hopefully Americans will throw these cretins out in Nov....;)
